Ghost Road Update
This news from The New Zealand Cycle Trail. Last year the Old Ghost Road was recognised by an influential UK travel publication as the number three trail in the world. Not only did this catapult Nga Haerenga, The New Zealand Cycle Trail onto the world stage, but it provided early confirmation that our journey to provide a "network of world-class cycling experiences" was on the right path. Word is now out that the high dam on the Mokihinui River will no longer be built, which vindicates the decision to blaze a trail at river level through the Mokihinui Gorge.

Pegasus Rental Cars was established in Christchurch in 1989. The brainchild of Kevin and Sandra Lamb, the idea was to take advantage of the influx of used Japanese cars that were arriving into the country at that time following import de-regulation. For those hirers not requiring a new car and happy with lower prices, suddenly there was a new player in the market able to offer just that. Perhaps not surprisingly, the business grew like topsy!
